Key Responsibilities

* Ensure proper and timely installation and maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and other highway systems, unsupervised or as part of a team.
* Use relevant hand tools, power tools, and manual handling aids in accordance with risk assessments, method statements and training.
* Work collaboratively with customers and other contractors on site.
* Ensure works are completed to required quality standards and site specifications.
* Attend, diagnose and resolve faults on traffic signal assets and equipment covered within the TSM contract.
* Complete and deliver both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks, ensuring high quality at all times.
* Install, replace and set up traffic signal assets and other highway systems.
* Complete remedial works following incidents such as road traffic collisions or equipment failure.
* Produce and submit high quality clearance notes via the relevant FMS and digital platforms.
* Complete works in accordance with contract requirements, adhering to response repair times and scheduled work.

* Be willing to travel to multiple Yunex Traffic sites across the UK for training.

Minimum Educational Requirements

* 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills/Apprenticeship equivalent).
* Desirable: Keen interest in Engineering.


Right to Work

Applicants must have Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship. No sponsorship for apprentices without valid right to work.


Recruitment Process

* In‑person interviews; some roles may require virtual interview or assessment centre.
* Assessment centres include group problem‑solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, role simulation exercises.
* Interviews are typically competency based.
