An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Manager to join a recognised Cambridge institution on a fixed term basis until September 2026. This role has become available due to a secondment, and the role will be worked on a hybrid basis.
As the incoming Accounts Manager, you will be tasked with the following duties, including:
Oversee day?to?day financial operations and support monthly and annual accounting processes.
Monitor budgets and spending, resolving issues and advising on variances as needed.
Work with stakeholders to manage budgets, forecasts and grant?related financial requirements.
Support the preparation and costing of grant applications in line with funder expectations.
Lead a small finance team, improve processes, assist with debt queries and act as deputy to the Finance Manager.
As the successful applicant for this role, you will have previous experience working in an all round accounting position, with AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent. You will also have excellent excel and system skills. Previous experience of line management is considered advantageous. Other desirable skills you will possess include:
