Role Overview
The successful candidate will lead the management of both elective and acute patients, including on‑call duties for spinal surgery. The role is based within a large orthopaedic team that includes six established spinal consultants and offers dedicated outpatient clinics, a dedicated spinal ward and operating theatres.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the delivery of spinal surgery for elective and acute patients.
* Coordinate and lead on‑call duties for spinal surgery.
* Collaborate with the orthopaedic team, satellite clinics and community locations.
* Ensure high standards of patient care and safety within the spinal unit.
* Use 3D imaging and computerised navigation in surgical procedures.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in spinal surgery.
* Background in orthopaedics or neurosurgery.
* Strong clinical leadership and teamwork skills.
