We are looking for a Latam Cross Functional Engineering Director (SP or RJ) who will lead and manage a team supporting critical facility uptime requirements in project controls, asset management, and supplemental engineering site support as needed.
If you have an engineering degree, previous experience as a director, knowledge of Data Center asset control, Control Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Cross functional Engineering, and leadership of cross-functional teams, this opportunity is for you.
What you’ll be doing
1. Manage a cross-functional team providing Asset Management expertise, Project Controls expertise, and escalated site support for critical facility infrastructure.
2. Ensure team safety, effectiveness, and high standards for human error avoidance.
3. Provide strategic guidance and direction to drive team results.
4. Lead and implement resources to complete projects as required.
5. Manage the team to ensure completion to Equinix's standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
6. Ensure correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
What we’ll expect from you
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecom, Mechanical, or Automation engineering.
* Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.
* Proven experience leading, inspiring, and developing teams of critical facility subject matter experts.
* Maintain strong working relationships with site locations.
* Maintain and improve Continuous Improvement processes and culture.
* Report on key performance indicators.
* Experience managing critical facility disciplines.
* Knowledge in critical facility engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
* Technical expertise in critical power, cooling systems, life safety, and environmental compliance.
Additional Details
* Ability to participate in meetings across time zones.
* Willingness to travel 20%.
