DWP Regional Engineering Manager Job Role The DWP Regional Engineering Manager is responsible for the service provision of a range of integrated electronic security and fire safety systems on a large estate contract. The expectations of the role will be to manage an engineering workforce to gain the most productive operational output delivering an excellent quality of service to all end users of the Engineering Team. The role involves working alongside an existing team of engineering managers covering GB & NI areas reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. This is a remote based position but will require close working relationships with our Operational support teams based out of Tewkesbury. Main responsibilities/tasks of the role Managing the completion of PPM’s in the timeframes set down by both the company and NSI standards. Closely monitor strict KPI fix times and to minimise financial penalties Effectively management of ‘failed to fix’ service calls, limiting downtime of customer equipment. Ensuring the profitability of contract is managed effectively. Achieving accurate stock records of equipment held by engineers, carrying out 6 monthly checks and monitoring of overstock / bad stock on a frequent basis. Ensuring engineers are working in a productive and efficient manner Maintain the highest standards of quality across service maintenance works and installations. Complying with Company and NSI guidelines at all times Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times in line with current requirements. Management of minor installations from contractual processing, to system sign off. Rectification of project overspends for future learning. Liasing with Sales, System Design and Technical departments to ensure downtime of customer systems is kept to a minimum. Establishing a close working relationship with the customer service centre to provide excellent service delivery. Dealing with customers and contractors at a local / site level and attend to enquires. Carrying out annual engineering performance reviews and manage through any development needs. To ensure that the Company’s vehicle policies are observed and company policy is used responsibly Authorisation of engineer’s timesheets & expenses is submitted on time Processing of supplier’s and sub-contractor’s invoices.
