Team/Role Overview

The User Experience Sr. Analyst is an intermediate level experienced role, strongly contributing to the research, analysis and design of digital products and systems.

User Experience partners with Product and Technology colleagues to create innovative and intuitive digital products that deliver best-in-class user experience and usability to our clients, both internally and externally. We undertake a wide spectrum of activities, from discovery and research, through definition, ideation, and design, to the management of design systems and the delivery of interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs to our development partners.

The UX Design Group’s primary goal is to research and design products and solutions that are streamlined, intuitive, consistent, accessible, great-looking, and easy-to-use, which perfectly suit (or even anticipate) our clients’ needs.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Overview

Citi operates one of the largest and most established foreign exchange businesses in the world, serving corporations, financial institutions and investors. The FX business provides clients with access to a wide range of products with real-time 24-hour access to FX Spot, Forward, NDF and Swaps pricing in 500+ currencies complete with pre-trade and post-trade workflow tools all delivered through a seamless intuitive user-experience in 80+ countries. The business plays a central role in helping clients manage currency risk, support cross-border trade, and gain exposure to global markets. A dedicated user experience team partners with sales, trading, and technology to design intuitive platforms and tools that meet client needs, improve accessibility, and deliver seamless execution. With its global network, Citi is consistently recognized as a leading provider of FX services worldwide.

What you will do

1. Hold meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
2. Perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
3. Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making
4. Work closely with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions
5. Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
6. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using specialist tools such as InVision, Sketch, Axure, and the Adobe suite
7. Apply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback
8. Use, and contribute to, the approved design system
9. Adhere to, and improve design standards and best practices
10. Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
11. Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints ensuring quality and spec are as designed
12. Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
13. Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
14. Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, and escalating where needed
15. Help to train and support junior team members
16. Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members
17. Contribute to the wider UX community of practice Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we will need from you

18. Related background focussed on User Experience
19. Experience working within banking or financial services
20. Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
21. Experience delivering with an agile methodology
22. Excellent communication and presentation skills
23. Highly skilled in professional design tools, Figma, AdobeXD, Sketch, Axure etc.
24. Experience using design systems Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
25. HTML/CSS Development Skills

Education

26. Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
