We are looking for an adaptable and self‑motivated individual to join our team as a Facilities Site Supervisor on a permanent basis to provide day‑to‑day management and facilities support for the staff and services using Swanage and Wareham Hospitals.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check. Candidates who require Skilled Worker sponsorship are not eligible to apply.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day management and supervision of facilities staff, including recruitment, selection, training and development, appraisals, work allocation, rota planning, and first‑level disciplinary, capability and grievance handling in conjunction with the line manager.
* Ensure the delivery of a patient‑focused cleaning service that meets NHS cleanliness standards across the site.
* Ensure the delivery of a safe, high‑quality catering service in line with the Trust’s Nutrition and Hydration Strategy and food safety standards.
* Oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of portering services across the site, ensuring resources are utilised effectively and safely to support service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities or facilities management within a healthcare setting.
* Strong organisational and people skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
* Must have a DBS check or be able to obtain one; otherwise not eligible.
* No need for Skilled Worker sponsorship; sponsorship will not be provided.
