As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and strengthen our digital, AI capabilities, we are seeking a Digital Product Owner. In this role, you will manage one or more digital products and platforms that seek to yield a significant business benefit, build our competitive advantage and help differentiate in the market through execution on innovation.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role Are
As a Digital Product Owner, you will leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies and data-driven decision-making to drive the development and success of AXA XL’s digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product functionalities align with user needs and business goals while fostering a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Product Ownership:
* Demonstrate expertise in Agile methodologies to serve as the Product Owner for Digital and Data components, ensuring alignment with both IDA and other AXA XL entities.
* User Story Development:
* Skilfully engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), end users, and stakeholders to craft detailed Agile user stories that accurately reflect functional requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity on the ‘definition of done’.
* Customer Journey Mapping:
* Utilise proven analytical and design thinking skills to define and articulate customer journeys, translating user experiences into actionable user stories.
* Data Needs Assessment:
* Collaborate with cross-functional squads to identify and support data requirements that enhance product development insights and improve user experience.
* KPI and Analytics Development:
* Proficiently develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analytics frameworks to evaluate business performance and user engagement metrics, enabling informed decision-making.
* UX Collaboration:
* Partner with internal UX teams and digital agencies to design, test, and refine UX wireframes and prototypes, ensuring the product experience is well-defined prior to development.
* Sprint Review and Quality Assurance:
* Provide guidance on the acceptance or rejection of digital UX and data sprints, ensuring high fidelity in user experience and data integrity.
* Stakeholder Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key teams within Global Technology, Group Emerging Technologies & Data, and other relevant areas to support the successful development and deployment of digital products.
* Talent Development and Inclusion:
* Advocate for the growth of digital talent across AXA XL, promoting an inclusive environment that enhances the value derived from digital, data, and analytics assets.
* Customer-Centric Focus:
* Cultivate a customer-first mindset within teams, prioritising the needs and service expectations of business stakeholders to enhance overall product value.
* Operate as Product Owner for the Digital and Data components of AXA XL products, whether owned directly by IDA or owned by other AXA XL entities and supported by IDA
* Within your squads, own the completion of Agile user stories, engaging with SMEs, end users and relevant business stakeholders to accurately describe the functional requirements of the product across all user roles in scope for the product, as well as the acceptance criteria to be used to measure the successful delivery of these features (‘definition of done’)
* Own the completion of customer journeys, defining & describing the user stories as steps from a user’s perspective
* Work with your squads to define & support the data needs of (a) the team as it looks to develop insights into its product development activity and (b) the delivered product experience
* Own the development of KPIs and analytics to measure (a) the business performance of the delivered product and (b) quantitative & behavioural engagement with the delivered digital experience
* Liaise with internal UX colleagues and digital agencies to develop and test UX wireframes & prototypes, supporting the team to successfully define the target product experience prior to coding
* Within your squads, advise on the acceptance or rejection of digital UX & data sprints as they relate to UX or data fidelity
* Work to build relationships & partnerships with key areas within Global Technology (GT), Group Emerging Technologies & Data (GETD), AXA Smart Services, Transformation & Change Delivery, Group and other teams to build & support digital products
* Support the development of digital talent across AXA XL, while embracing inclusion and diversity, to enable better usage and value creation through our strategic digital, data and analytics assets
* Foster a customer-first attitude, prioritising service for our business stakeholders above all else

* Established experience in a Digital or related role (Transformation, Operations, Technology) supporting multiple speciality areas of Digital, Data and Analytics

* A minimum of a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
* Applies in-depth knowledge of business and specialised areas to creatively and strategically solve business problems and understand integration challenges and long-term impact
* Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management and customer interaction
* Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data driven organisation
