Our incredibly busy gardening and landscaping business is looking for a full-time labourer to join our professional service, throughout the greater York area. Garden Maintenance experience would be a huge advantage as you will be required to cover this position from time to time.
The position is ideally filled by a semi-skilled labourer, with relevant pay applied to the position.
Your responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to;
* Assist with the running of domestic gardening projects. Making mixes, moving materials, etc.
* Ability to pave, fence, install Artificial lawns, etc would be an advantage.
* Experience in garden maintenance would also be an advantage as you would be required to help out every now and again on some of our gardening contracts.
* Managing your time and tasks effectively as this job is very physically demanding and you'll be working outdoors in all weathers.
* Being able to work in a team, taking instructions for your team leader, but also have the initiative to work by yourself.
* Must meet on site each day at 7.30am
To be considered for this labourer role you will have the following experience, skills and attributes;
* Hold a UK Driving Licence
* You must have at least 2 years experience in a similar position
* Due to our current fleet insurance, at this time, persons aged only 25 or over will be considered.
* A good eye and attention to detail.
* Have good communication and customer service skills.
* Any horticultural qualifications would be an advantage
* Experience in paving, driveways, turfing, brickwork, site levelling, fencing, decking etc, would be an advantage
Potential employees will be offered a 1 day paid work trial. The position will be offered on the basis of this trial.
The job is offered on the basis of full time employment. Staff uniform, Paid holiday's and Pension
Full time: Monday - Friday. Overtime available.
Salary: £14 - £16 per hour or more depending on experience
