Job Description:
Reporting to: Senior Photographer
Location: HPC, Manchester (Hybrid)
Spectrum Brands is looking for a talented Assistant Product Photographer to join our in-house creative team. You’ll be responsible for capturing high-quality photography and video content for packaging, websites, and social media across our leading brands: Remington, Russell Hobbs, Power XL, and George Foreman.
Working within brand and studio guidelines, you will bring products to life while ensuring a consistent visual identity. Your role will also involve portrait photography for new employees (for team profiles and email accounts) and stills/video capture for conferences and events, both in our studio and on location.
The Role
* Product Photography & Video – Shoot high-quality stills and videos for packaging, digital platforms, and social media in line with brand guidelines.
* Post-Production & Colour Correction – Retouch and enhance images using Capture One and Photoshop, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
* On-Location Shoots – Capture live content at events, conferences, and brand activations.
* Portrait Photography – Take professional headshots of new employees for internal and external use.
* Creative Collaboration – Work closely with marketing, product design, and brand teams to ensure visual consistency
* Pre-Set Shooting Setups – Create efficient setups to minimize post-production time.
* Camera & Set Alignment – Ensure shots are level, products are clean, and details are crisp to achieve the best results. Thoughtful Shooting Process – Avoid rushing the initial stages; be mindful of all required shots to avoid re-shoots.
* Shot Angle Approval – Confirm angles for hero pack shots and food photography to ensure optimal presentation.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* 5+ years of experience in commercial photography (Product, Still-Life, Creative, and Fashion).
* Expertise in Capture One & Adobe Photoshop, with strong colour correction and retouching skills.
* Strong communication skills – ability to interpret briefs and collaborate with multiple teams.
* Video editing and production knowledge is desirable.
Join a dynamic and creative environment where you'll work with industry-leading brands to produce high-impact visual content. Enjoy a hybrid working setup, with access to a fully equipped studio and exciting on-location shoots. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to compelling marketing campaigns that make a real impact.
