We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Painter to work on rotational Dayshift & Backshift
Dayshift
7:00am – 3.15pm Monday to Friday
Rate £13.00/HR
Overtime £18.15/HR
Backshift
3.00pm – 1.15am Monday to Thursday
Rate £16.14/HR
Overtime £18.15/HR

*Key responsibilities and accountabilities*
* Selection of correct paint for job.
* Selection of correct oven temperatures and track speeds.
* Setting up equipment.
* Control of pre-treatment to clean and treat parts.
* Ensuring correct preparation of parts before painting and how they are placed on line.
* Understanding powder paint properties.
* Understanding coating defects, their causes and how to rectify.
* Carrying out quality checks on coating finish, including DFT & Gloss readings.
* Carrying out stock checks of paints and recording on system.
* Recording details of painted parts and results of quality checks.
* Maintaining equipment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned after use.
* To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested commensurate with your skills, knowledge and ability in the interests of the Company.
*About you*
* Skilled powder painter with ITW Gema system experience required.
* Good knowledge of powder paint process.
* Reliable with good time keeping and attendance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£18.15 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:* Prestwick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:* Powder Painting: 1 year (required)
