Housing Stability Manager - Likewise
Location: Portland House, Sheffield S3 8UG
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 9am-5pm with the requirement to work outside or normal hours when needed.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,520 - £51,060 per annum

About the role:
The Housing Stability Manager will provide operational leadership and delivery of a new housing focused support project, designed to support individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol use to sustain their tenancies, prevent homelessness and improve overall wellbeing.
The post holder will lead a team of Housing Stability Workers and Coaches to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions that prevent tenancy breakdown, reduce repeat homelessness, and support sustained recovery and independence.
The Housing Stability Manager will ensure effective delivery of the project, oversee the management of the rent bond scheme, drive partnership working across housing and treatment systems, and ensure high standards of quality, safeguarding, and performance.
Key duties will include:
Provide effective leadership and management to staff, promoting a positive, inclusive and recovery-focused culture
Lead, motivate and develop staff through regular supervision, annual appraisals, performance management and reflective practice
Ensure the team delivers high-quality, trauma-informed and strengths-based support interventions
Monitor staffing capacity and allocate resources to ensure effective service delivery
Ensure effective interventions are in place to prevent tenancy breakdown, reduce evictions and minimise repeat homelessness
Lead on the effective delivery of a rent bond scheme, ensuring clear process, equitable access and robust governance arrangements
Ensure responsive support for individuals during high-risk transition periods, including prison release, discharge from residential rehabilitation providers, supported accommodation and movement into independent housing
Promote early identification and intervention around risks to tenancy sustainment
Monitor performance against contractual targets, KPIs and Housing Support Grant outcomes
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all interventions and activity delivered, including comprehensive assessments and support plans
Use data, feedback and learning to continuously improve service delivery
Contribute to reports for commissioners, senior management and organisational governance processes
Develop and maintain effective relationships with housing providers, treatment services, criminal justice agencies, local authorities and wider partners
Represent the service at operational meetings
Promote integrated approaches that improve outcomes for people with multiple and complex needs
About you:
Relevant qualification in health and social care, housing, substance misuse, counselling or related field (NVQ Level 3 or above or equivalent)
Experience leading and developing staff, including delivering effective supervision
Experience of supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs
Experience of partnership and multi-agency working
Experience maintaining confidentiality and working within professional boundaries
Knowledge of working within Safeguarding and Hidden Harm
Experience of housing support, homelessness prevention or tenancy sustainment work
Working with best practice frameworks e.g. NICE, DOH, NTA, NMC, Care Quality Commission & Caldicott Standards
Ability to assess risk and respond appropriately to safeguarding
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and service demand
