Portfolio Capacity & Demand Lead
About the role
Lead strategic resource planning across NFU Mutual’s Enterprise Change Portfolio, drive data‑led decision making and optimise resource utilisation, working in a hybrid model with flexibility to work from home and in our Stratford‑upon‑Avon office.
* Shape how we forecast, manage, and optimise resources to support transformational change.
* Develop and embed a robust, data‑led resource management framework that drives consistency, scalability and strong governance across the enterprise.
* Forecast and validate resource requirements, manage demand plans and support financial alignment.
* Identify and mitigate resource risks and pinch points to ensure the portfolio remains deliverable and aligned to strategic priorities.
* Provide clear, timely insight to support confident decision‑making.
* Lead and develop a high‑performing team to build capability and a sustainable talent pipeline across Group Change.
About you
We’re looking for a strategically minded capacity planning professional who brings a blend of strategic leadership and technical expertise:
* Experience designing and embedding structured resource management frameworks in complex environments.
* Advanced Excel and Power BI skills to support data‑led decision‑making.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills; able to balance competing demands and translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Effective project management experience, including budget control.
* Strong problem‑solving capability and strategic thinking.
* Demonstrable leadership across cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
* Management of Portfolios Practitioner (essential)
* Scaled Agile (SAFe) Lean Portfolio Management – desirable
* APMG Better Business Cases (5 Case Model) – desirable
* Management of Value Practitioner – desirable
