Division Information
The Landing Gear Market division specializes in designing, qualifying, manufacturing, and repairing landing gears and critical flight components for OEMs and operators in both commercial and military sectors.
Position Summary
The Buyer will develop and implement category strategies to improve quality, cost, and delivery. This role involves engaging stakeholders, managing supplier relationships, resolving procurement issues, and ensuring adherence to production timelines through effective sourcing and purchase management within ERP systems.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
2. Negotiate contracts and pricing.
3. Evaluate and recommend new vendors.
4. Manage inventory levels and forecast needs.
5. Coordinate with departments for timely delivery.
6. Ensure supplier quality standards are met.
7. Resolve supplier issues efficiently.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or related field; CIPS certification preferred.
* Knowledge of financial markets affecting commodity prices.
* Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
* Effective problem-solving abilities.
