JOB DESCRIPTION: Cabinetry / Kitchen / Furniture Fitter
Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and committed Cabinetry / Kitchen / Furniture Fitter to join our specialist installation team.
This position involves constant nationwide travel and regular overnight stays, often from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work when projects demand it. You will be part of a small, expert team delivering high-end bespoke joinery and solid surface installations for prestigious commercial and residential interiors across the UK.
All travel and working time is paid, hotels are arranged and covered by the company, and reasonable daily expenses are provided.
We also offer structured training and development for the right candidate, including opportunities to work alongside and learn from one of our existing senior fitters to build confidence, speed, and finishing quality to our standards.
Primary Responsibilities
· Install bespoke joinery, cabinetry, kitchens, and fitted furniture to an exceptional standard.
· Carry out UK-wide site installations, ensuring work is completed to design, tolerance, and finish standards.
· Handle, joint, and finish solid surface materials such as Corian, Hanex, or HI-MACS.
· Interpret technical drawings and installation details accurately.
· Represent the company professionally on site with clients, contractors, and consultants.
· Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised working area.
· Work flexibly to meet deadlines, including occasional weekends or extended hours where necessary.
Key Competencies and Skills
· Must be willing and able to travel continuously and stay away from home most weeks (typically Monday–Friday).
· Full UK driving licence and readiness to travel nationwide.
· Experience in cabinetry, kitchen, or furniture fitting with excellent finishing skills.
· Ability to work from detailed drawings and technical specifications.
· Professional, courteous, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
· Comfortable working independently or as part of a small travelling team.
· Experience with solid surface materials preferred (training available).
· CSCS card desirable but not essential.
Reports to: Cabinetry Design Manager
Package:
· Up to £22.50 per hour, depending on experience, covering both work and travel time.
· 40 hour per week contract with plenty of overtime available
· Hotels and moderate expenses fully covered while working away.
· Hands-on training and support, including the opportunity to co-work with experienced senior fitters.
· Long-term continuity of work with a well-established national fit-out contractor.
· Based out of the factory in Kirby, with travel to sites as required
