** Hybrid working role - Management Accountant - Luton town centre - permanent full time **

You might have your AAT qualification, or perhaps started your professional CIMA accounting qualification and we'd love to hear from you! We are a professional services firm and we specialise in outsourced accounting support, executive administration, company secretarial duties and event management. Our clients are trade and professional associations, academic societies and other not for profit membership organisations.
Key to this role will be providing an excellent accounting service to our client base. These may include processing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining financial records to trial balance stage. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information for our valued membership and Charity clients.
What will I be doing in this role?
1. Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank transactions
2. Preparing, managing and reconciling VAT and other balance sheet accounts
3. Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records
4. Leading on the preparation of financial reports and management accounts
5. Responding to internal and external financial inquiries and stakeholders
6. Liaising with auditors regarding queries, information requests and preparing support schedules
7. Performing general accounts duties and maintaining accuracy of data and reporting from a variety of finance software systems (Sage / Quickbooks / Xero)
What skills and experience should I be able to demonstrate?
* Relevant study relating to Accounting or Finance - AAT, or perhaps you are part qualified CIMA or fully qualified
* Practical and comprehensive experience of accounting software, particularly SAGE, QuickBooks or Xero
* Previous experience of working with a number of clients in a client facing role focusing on delivering customer excellence and maintaining a very high standard of service
* Able to demonstrate ideas for process improvements, increased efficiency and smarter ways of working across the client base
* An awareness of business development activities across existing clients to identify further fee opportunities
* An understanding of the importance of governance, audit and compliance

* Strong verbal and written professional communication skills are necessary tailoring financial information to various stakeholders, including Executives, Board members, and non-financial client staff
* Able to quickly build strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, and confident in identifying opportunities to add value to current and potential clients and revenue opportunities to the business
* Excellent at building relationships with clients and demonstrate strong communication skills
* Focus on process improvements to streamline activities and provide efficiencies in how we operate
* Strong professional ethics, with an ability to manage confidential and sensitive data

Full job spec on request. You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis and be able to regularly travel to the Luton office for a minimum of 2 days each week as well as working remotely.
