Role - Toolmaker position
Location - Mildenhall, Suffolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 17:00
Capacity of role - Permanent position
Salary - Paying up to £42,000 per annum.
Our client is currently recruiting for a toolmaker to join their busy manufacturing unit. This role is a hands on position that is focussing on the manufacture, maintenance and improvement of production tooling in a supportive and forward thinking environment.
* Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain production tooling and fixtures
* Work with traditional tool room and workshop machinery
* Support production by troubleshooting tooling issues and implementing improvements
* Assist with tooling trials, testing, and fault finding
* Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure tooling reliability and longevity
* Maintain accurate documentation relating to tooling and maintenance activities
* Work within ISO quality and regulatory standards
* Attend occasional UK/international travel for project-related work
* Participate in relevant training courses to support ongoing development
Candidate attributes
* Proven experience working as a Toolmaker or within a toolroom environment
* Experience using toolroom/workshop-based machinery
* A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or equivalent hands-on experience
* A proactive, self-motivated attitude and strong teamwork skills
* Confidence with written and verbal communication, including MS Office
