Were looking for a proactive Commercial Analyst to join our Digital Services team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in commercial operations, procurement, and contract management within a dynamic public sector environment.
Youll play a key role in supporting the management of IT contracts, procurement processes, vendor relationships, and compliance activities, ensuring that our digital operations run smoothly and deliver value for money.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing and managing IT and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Monitor contract performance and support renewal and amendment processes.
Support vendor relationship management, including communication, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
Process procurement and purchasing requests in line with council and departmental policies.
Conduct market research and assist in preparing Requests for Proposals / Quotes.
Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure alignment with organisational needs and value for money.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts, procurement, and compliance.

Essential:
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Basic understanding of procurement and contract management.
Ability to interpret and apply policy and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Problem Solving skills
Good communication skills
A good Analytic skillset
Desirable:
Experience in a public sector or commercial support role.
Familiarity with budgeting and financial processes.
Knowledge of IT procurement and vendor management.
