Main Duties
* Lead on establishing and embedding an effective measurement framework across nationally funded projects and programmes supporting the diocesan‑wide Church Growth Programme and overarching diocesan strategy, feeding into governance structures such as the Programme Board, Executive Board, Bishop’s Core Team, Bishop’s Council and Diocesan Synod. Identify trends and represent data creatively to inform stakeholders.
* Act as the Diocesan Lead for Statistics, providing oversight of annual mission return statistics, annual parish finance return, and the Energy Footprint Tool (EFT) in liaison with finance colleagues and the NZC Support Officer. Ensure diocesan statistics inform key decision‑making.
* Lead data collation, validation and consolidation from multiple internal and external sources, proactively engaging stakeholders across departments to source, standardise and integrate datasets into a single source of truth.
* Champion data quality and consistency throughout the Diocese by building relationships with key data providers, defining collection requirements, providing guidance to contributors and setting timely deadlines, including any required data cleansing activities.
* Act as the Diocesan Lead for IT, serving as the primary point of contact for the external IT supplier, chairing the IT Governance Group and liaising with national IT leaders to embed best practices and explore AI integration. Consider IT training needs and coordinate third‑party training, including Microsoft Teams and other MS and non‑MS packages.
* Lead on the CMS (Contact Management System) by attending national meetings, reporting back and collaborating closely with the Communications Team to maintain accurate data for mailings and distribution lists. Establish effective internal systems and processes for record maintenance.
* Lead on Mapping, using ArcGIS, MapInfo or equivalent to support pastoral schemes and diocesan strategic planning.
* Any other duties reasonably included within the remit of this post.
The post holder is an employee of the Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) and will report to the Programme Director.
