Our client, one of the largest employers in the industry, is seeking an experienced gas and oil heating engineer to join their busy team. The role involves carrying out service and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems for customers in the Peterborough area.
Overview Of Role
The primary responsibility is to maintain and repair heating systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely, and that repairs are completed promptly to deliver customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out service and maintenance works on domestic properties across the region.
* Ensure high levels of customer care when dealing with clients and tenants to meet quality standards.
* Communicate updates and progress, completing required paperwork electronically and manually.
* Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records.
* Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures to keep relevant parts available.
Key Attributes And Requirements
* Gas qualifications are essential: minimum CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
* OFTEC certification (OFT10:101, OFT10:105E, OFT10:600a).
* Out of hours, evening and weekend cover on a rota basis is required.
* Friendly and professional attitude to build strong relationships with clients and tenants.
* Completion of criminal records and reference checks prior to starting work.
