Simply Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Stockport to recruit a passionate History Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in April 2026. This position will initially run until the end of the summer term, with the potential for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Secondary Teacher (QTS) looking for a rewarding role within a positive school environment that values both staff and student development.
Your Role:
* Teach KS3 and KS4 History as your primary responsibility
* Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire a love of history
* Carry out full planning, preparation, and marking duties
* Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Specialism in History (or strong experience teaching History)
* Experience working in a UK secondary school
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A flexible, professional approach and commitment to student achievement
