MRO OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, guidance, and direction of the W.London facility. The position requires planning, directing, and coordinating the execution of Avionics repair and overhaul work and will also be responsible for formulating policies, managing daily operational activities, and coordinating the use of materials and human resources toward a goal of maximum productivity. The Operations Manager will also determine the needs, reduce costs, and analyse areas of operations that require continuous improvement activities
JOB PURPOSE
The Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership, guidance, and direction at the facility. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating the execution of repair and overhaul work, while formulating policies, managing day-to-day operations, and optimizing the use of materials and human resources to achieve maximum productivity. The position also focuses on cost reduction, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Direct Management of 5 split across the work shop and stores.

* Monitor and control expenses within budget constraints.
* Achieve targets related to sales, profit, turnaround time, safety, and employee performance.
* Contribute to broader business strategies and operational alignment.
* Support commercial efforts through pricing decisions and market analysis.
* Ensure customer satisfaction through value optimization, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Continuous Improvement & People Management
* Champion continuous improvement through metric-driven initiatives and team engagement.
* Provide feedback on talent needs and develop staff to support operational goals.
* Manage staffing, performance, and professional development activities.
* Oversee team cross-training and skill development.
* Prepare and present performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
* 8-10 years in a hands-on operations leadership role.
* Background in Aviation MRO, production, or manufacturing environments
* A sound understanding of Avionics and electronics
* Proven experience implementing lean practices in high-performing organizations.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and JIT.
* Strong customer service orientation and project management skills.
