Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of working with our client, a UK leading supplier who are on the lookout for a Health & Safety Maintenance Officer to join their growing team.
The role of the H&S Maintenance Officer will be to oversee our facilities' safety and upkeep, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.
H&S Maintenance Officer Job Overview
Health & Safety Compliance
* Develop, implement, and manage H&S policies in line with legislation.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits.
* Organise and deliver health and safety training for employees.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant regulations.
Maintenance & Facilities Management
* Oversee the servicing and maintenance of warehouse machinery, including FLTs, roller shutter doors, and fire detection systems.
* Ensure all equipment and safety systems remain in good working order.
* Manage contractor relationships for specialist maintenance services.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and safety compliance.
* Work closely with operational teams to uphold a safe and efficient working environment.
H&S Maintenance Officer Job Requirements
* Experience in a health & safety or maintenance role, ideally within a warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, COSHH).
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage contractors and coordinate maintenance work.

* Competitive salary (Circa £33,000 DOE)
* 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday (reduced hours available)
