A well-established 11–16 secondary school in Liverpool is seeking a highly organised and compassionate Pastoral & Safeguarding Administrator to join its dedicated safeguarding and pastoral team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate documentation, effective communication and smooth coordination of interventions that support vulnerable students. The Role As Pastoral & Safeguarding Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Heads of Year and pastoral staff. You will manage confidential records, coordinate meetings and ensure statutory documentation is maintained to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include: • Maintaining safeguarding records and updating secure systems • Recording and tracking referrals, interventions and external agency involvement • Supporting attendance and pastoral data analysis • Coordinating meetings with parents, carers and external professionals • Preparing documentation for case conferences and safeguarding reviews • Managing sensitive communications with professionalism and discretion • Supporting safeguarding audits and compliance checks This role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with absolute confidentiality. About You • Experience in safeguarding, pastoral or school administration roles • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality requirements • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills • Confident communicator with parents and external agencies • Calm, empathetic and professional approach • Ability to work effectively under pressure Experience using safeguarding systems or MIS platforms would be advantageous.
