What will you be doing in this role?
The role of DevOps Engineer is to maintain, implement, and continuously improve the deployment processes that support Tunstall’s production platforms. This role is central to enhancing the developer experience and serves as a key enabler in the strategic transition toward cloud hosting and the maturity of continuous deployment practices across the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with experience working with MS Azure, scripting skills, and, where possible, an understanding of the AWS platform.
Key Skills and Experience
* Operating system administration in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
* Maintaining developer platforms and hosting solutions such as AWS and Azure.
* Continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
* Understanding of virtual machine deployments and Kubernetes environments.
* Infrastructure as Code knowledge.
* Scripting with PowerShell or Bash for automation.
* System security best practices and vulnerability remediation.
* Adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
* Desirable: Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include
* Administer servers on Windows and Linux, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Implement and support the internal developer platform across cloud providers and on-premise infrastructure.
* Automate routine tasks and configurations to improve operational efficiency.
* Optimise CI/CD tools and streamline the release process.
* Manage development infrastructure costs to reduce wastage.
* Monitor system health and reduce MTTR following failures.
* Remediate security vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with IT Infrastructure to integrate QA standards and release processes.
