Overview
Lunchtime Organiser SEN – Pear Tree High School is seeking a part-time Lunchtime Organiser to join our team. This is a Grade 2, permanent post working 12.5 hours per week from 11:30am to 2:00pm each day during term time. The starting salary is £7,421 (full time equivalent £24,796). This role is expected to start once pre-employment checks are complete.
We are recruiting for a part-time Lunchtime Organiser to provide high-quality lunchtime support, including healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. The successful applicant will work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff.
Main purpose of the job
You will supervise students in dining areas and elsewhere as required to provide high-quality lunchtime support, promote healthy eating, run lunchtime clubs, and assist with feeding and changing students as appropriate. You will help create an atmosphere where mealtimes and lunchtime recreation are pleasant for pupils and staff.
Key responsibilities
* Develop good professional relationships with students and other staff members.
* Undertake activities with groups of students during lunchtime clubs (e.g., football, outdoor play, magazine club, art club, sensory story club).
* Assist at tables and support student food choices and development skills.
* Report serious incidents and accidents to Senior staff.
* Take students who have minor accidents or are unwell to seek first aid where necessary; if first aid is not required, provide comfort and reassurance.
