PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
Work with the operation team to develop and implement process improvement initiatives on operational standards and business performance. Identify and implement new and improved manufacturing methods driving increased yields, throughput, and manufacturability. Ensure that process and procedures are in compliance with ISO regulations.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist operations in resolving equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot process problems, and organize and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
* Determine the best method of manufacturing a product based on cost and other considerations such as product quality or delivery timeframes.
* Participate in project and product review meetings and provide recommendations for manufacturability of the product.
* Conduct tests and monitor process performance throughout production.
* Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes.
* Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
* Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions.
* Assist in continuous improvement programs using Lean principles to improve material flow and reduce costs.
* Map workflows, remove waste, and recommend solutions to improve throughput and capacity.
* Establish policies and procedures for smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.
* Develop operations metrics, lean strategies, and execution plans to meet business objectives.
* Provide regular updates and follow-up activities to monitor progress.
* Identify opportunities and issues, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Assist in planning, analyzing, and budgeting activities to align profit margins with company targets.
* Drive continuous improvement across all business aspects.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce poor quality costs and improve yields.
* Track KPIs regularly as per leadership guidance.
* Ensure production runs smoothly, and resolve or escalate issues promptly with data and facts.
* Support engineering and supervisory teams in problem-solving and developing solutions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally on improvements and projects.
* Use technical knowledge to facilitate transition of new products to manufacturing.
* Define problems, analyze data, and recommend corrective actions to meet objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Two years of experience preferred but not required.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
* Experience with change control and configuration management procedures.
* Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems is a plus.
* Familiarity with engineering drawings and product specifications.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
* Strong customer service mindset.
Work is based in an office and manufacturing environment. Some travel between facilities may be required.
