Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality legal and administrative support to Partners in the Business Team, enabling them to deliver excellent client service. The role combines core legal assistant duties with PA responsibilities, requiring exceptional organisation, accuracy, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Administrative Support
* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms with speed and accuracy (including digital dictation/typing).
* Manage case files, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
* Draft and issue client care documentation, bills, and other standard correspondence.
* Support with legal research and preparation of reports as required.
* Handle routine client queries and communications with professionalism.
PA & Organisational Support
* Manage diaries for Partners, including scheduling meetings, booking rooms, and making travel arrangements.
* Organise and prepare for client meetings, including collating documents meeting clients and preparing meeting rooms.
* Act as first point of contact for calls and emails, ensuring priorities are managed effectively.
* Assist with events, presentations, and networking activities for the Business Team.
Client Care
* Welcome clients and visitors to the office in a professional manner.
* Ensure all communications are clear, timely, and client-focused.
* Support the ongoing development of strong client relationships.
Compliance & Procedures
* Follow firm policies, procedures, and compliance requirements (including SRA Standards & Regulations, Lexcel, and anti-money laundering rules).
* Ensure time recording, billing, and document management are accurate and timely.
Teamwork & Development
* Provide proactive support to other Lawyers and team members as required.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Take part in training and development to keep skills up to date.
Person Specification
* Previous experience in a legal assistant, secretary, or PA role (ideally within professional services).
* Excellent typing and digital dictation skills with high accuracy.
* Strong attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.
* Organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks under pressure.
* Confident communicator with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
* Flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
