Your new role
As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in supporting senior accountants and directors with technical tax queries while managing your own portfolio of private clients. This is a varied role thatbinespliance and advisory work, offering plenty of scope for development.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing day-to-day personal taxpliance for a portfolio of individuals, including high-net-worth clients, business owners, and directors
2. Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, utilising junior team members where appropriate
3. Advising colleagues and clients on a range of tax issues, including capital gains tax, VAT, and aspects of corporation tax
4. Meeting prospective clients to understand their needs and explain our services
5. Liaising with HMRC on client matters
6. Assisting senior managers and directors with tax advisory projects
What you'll need to succeed
7. A background in personal tax within a UK practice, ideally with awareness of a broader range of UK taxes
8. ATT qualification or QBE/CTA part-qualified status
9. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strongmunication skills
10. Confidence working directly with clients and supporting colleagues
11. Experience using IRIS software (advantageous but not essential)
