About the role
Joining us as a Deputy Depot Night Manager you’ll manage one of the shift operations in the depot, reporting to the Depot Manager, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers.
Responsibilities
* Supervise all staff, provide training and coaching, and identify training needs.
* Provide accurate reports that highlight challenges or successes.
* Work closely with the management team to identify potential risks.
* Maintain a high level of health and safety at all times.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and company policy.
* Work to an annual set budget and forecast.

About you
* A track record of success in a warehouse environment in a management position.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
* Managing a large operation and liaising at all levels.
* Outstanding communication skills and credibility to build relationships with all team members and management.
* Experience planning and effectively executing a night operation, dealing with all issues and challenges as they arise.
* Tenacity and an effective approach to meeting and exceeding targets and delivering an outstanding client experience.
* Computer literacy and confidence in using technology and IT systems, including advanced MS Office knowledge.
* Excellent business acumen and strong commercial and financial awareness.
