This Legal Counsel role, based in Leeds, offers a fantastic 12 month FTC opportunity within a leading global media business. You'll provide commercially focused legal advice while managing a broad range of contract work across multiple business areas.

Description
The Legal Counsel will be:
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
* Advising on contracts with both clients and suppliers across multiple business areas
* Supporting business teams in negotiations and providing clear risk assessments
* Advising on contract interpretation, dispute resolution and negotiation strategy
* Supporting the development and implementation of commercial initiatives
* Advising on contract law, intellectual property and data protection matters
* Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to support business objectives
Profile
The Legal Counsel should be:
* A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE as a guide
* Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
* Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions focused
* A clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised with strong ownership and autonomy
* Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
* A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
