We have a fantastic Group Accountant opportunity with an SME manufacturing group with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. As Group Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You’ll be responsible for consolidations, statutory accounts, and supporting the month-end close, while also driving improvements in financial processes and controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements across multiple business units.
* Lead on group reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
* Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Provide insight and analysis to support strategic financial decisions.
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
* Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance.
* Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficient in IT, and advanced Excel skills.
* Knowledge of various ERP systems, or consolidation or accounts preparation software is desirable.
