Working in a small, versatile team, the candidate's work will involve product design and sustaining activities on a range of PACS RFID access control products sold worldwide.
The candidate needs to effectively manage their time to support work on various products at different lifecycle stages and collaborate well with colleagues from different departments both onsite and overseas.

As our Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll support HID's success by:
* Implementing embedded firmware designs and test solutions primarily in C and C#
* Implementing cryptographic solutions
* Creating design documentation
* Working hands-on with debugging embedded systems
* Collaborating in a team environment
* Completing design tasks with minimal supervision
What we will love about your background:
* Verifying product software requirements
* Understanding, maintaining, and creating designs from stories/user/stakeholder requirements
* Providing technical solutions to mid to high complexity issues
* Knowledge of low programming languages (C/C#) and scripting
* Familiarity with low-level developer techniques
* Experience with TDD Unit testing
* Familiarity with CI/CD techniques
* Experience with software version control
* Experience with firmware/software development processes
* Using development software: debuggers, editors, compilers
* Understanding cryptographic solutions including symmetric and PKI asymmetric
Your Experience and Education include:
* An engineering degree or equivalent, or suitable experience
* Minimum of 4+ years of related industry experience
Additional beneficial skills/experience:
* Smart Card ISO7816 and RFID ISO 14443/15593 protocols
* I2C and SPI protocols
* USB low-level protocols
* Cryptographic code programming
* Jenkins automation server/client programming
* NUnit testing framework
* Bluetooth Low Energy protocol
* Scripting languages e.g., Python
* CMock unit testing
* Implementation experience of cryptographic solutions including symmetric & PKI asymmetric
