About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail will be essential. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you’ll do so with kindness and care.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide excellent training. You should have great time management and organizational skills, along with positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. Strong communication skills, including listening and giving instructions, are important. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know what actions to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation if necessary.
We will provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will have access to a wide range of benefits to support your physical and psychological well-being, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support to achieve qualifications
* GP online service for round-the-clock consultations
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a supportive team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme for support on physical, mental, and financial issues
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme with up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
We aim to ensure a smooth onboarding process, from job offer to your first day and beyond.
