Pupil Support Assistant - Fixed-term until 26/06/2026

Salary: £25,905 - £26,111 (pro-rata for part-time and Sessional)
Hours: 14 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 10am to 1:30pm with no breaks
Leith Walk Primary School is seeking an empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills to work 1:1 with a pupil with Additional Support Needs (ASN). The successful candidate may also work as part of the wider School PSA team.
PSAs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays, however total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments, over the year.
There are also opportunities to work in a holiday hub provision during the school holidays for successful candidates looking to work during the school holidays.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
