Hays are working with a client based in Chertsey who is looking to employ a Facilities Manager on a permanent basis, who will be based out of the Chertsey office. This will be a permanent position and the client is looking to start seeing applicants for the role ASAP with a quick turnaround to get started.
Your new role
1. You will be based out of the clients' office in Chertsey.
2. You will be predominantly covering the Surrey area, with also a focus on Sussex and South East Locations.
3. Overseeing all aspects of the building functions.
4. Running routine safety inspections, liaising with contractors, and planning maintenance work.
5. Reviewing and approving invoices.
6. Proactively manage risk and deal with insurancepliance with regards to both public and statutory requirements.
7. The role is office based - there isn't a firm hybrid policy but most people will work 4 or 5 days in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Ideally you will have a background as either a Block Manager or an Estates Manager within the property sector.
9. You will be required to have some form of Health & Safety Training eg. Fire & Risk Assessment
10. You will need a Full UK Driving Licence.
11. You will have a degree or have industry relevant experience.
12. IT literate, together with an understanding and experience of industry specific IT applications.
