Groundcare Mechanic
Location: Greenhithe
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Due to internal movement within the business, my client is seeking an experienced Groundcare Mechanic to join their team. This is a 50/50 split role between workshop-based repairs and mobile field service work.
Main Responsibilities
* Undertake servicing, inspections, and safety checks on all machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines and service schedules
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to groundcare equipment and associated machinery
* Perform regular checks on power tools, ensuring all guards and safety devices are fitted and fully operational
* Carry out minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs through approved supply partners
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Ensure full compliance with company and depot procedures
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline (or time-served equivalent experience)
* Proven experience as a Groundcare Technician, Plant Fitter, or Small Tools Fitter
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Full UK driving licence
