This post is for a 0.6 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist working within the South Camden Core Locality Team covering the Intensive Psychosis pathway. This is a replacement post with the current post holder taking on the position of the Clinical Director for the division. The post-holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team which includes both statutory and voluntary sector roles and provides holistic care to patients in a primary care setting aligned to the South and Central Primary Care Networks in Camden.

The clinical and managerial responsibilities of the post-holder include:
1. Providing consultant input and clinical leadership to maintain standards in their locality teams.
2. Assessing and managing patients under the care of the locality team relevant to their pathway.
3. Assisting with diagnosis, formulation, medication reviews, Dialog+ care planning, management plans, risk assessments, safety plans, and self-help plans as needed.
4. Offering advice and support to PCN GPs and practice staff regarding mental health assessments and management, through case discussions, joint consultations, and training.
5. Maintaining effective communication with GPs, primary care staff, patients, and carers.
6. Working flexibly within timetabled hours to prioritize urgent matters.
7. Carrying out Mental Health Act and domiciliary assessments as required.
8. Implementing improved linkage between primary and secondary care services.
9. Collaborating with local voluntary services as part of the community teams.
10. Providing clinical input to multidisciplinary case conferences for complex cases managed in primary care.
11. Engaging with local service user participation models.
12. Participating in management activities, governance, audits, and quality improvement projects related to the locality teams.
13. Contributing to team performance, service development, clinical pathways, and service priorities.
