SURVEYOR / SENIOR SURVEYOR LEADING UK PROPERTY PRACTICE – BUSINESS RATES TEAM LONDON
£40,000 to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
TML Recruitment is partnered with a leading UK-wide property practice in their search for a Business Rates professional at Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level to join their prestigious London offices.
Our client is one of the fastest-growing property consultancies in the UK, renowned for staff happiness, satisfaction, and career development. With a strategic growth mandate across multiple markets, particularly in business rates, they now seek additional expertise to strengthen their expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected brand with a strong reputation, while being part of a team small enough for you to make a real impact and be highly visible. They manage a national portfolio, with around 65% of the workload focused on London and the Southeast, particularly within the M25. The caseload is diverse, advising a wide range of clients across multiple asset classes. In addition to bulk assets, two major growth areas are self-storage and infrastructure, where our client is considered a market leader.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
* Supporting the delivery of rating instructions across a diverse portfolio
* Identifying opportunities using available data and market insight
* Building positive and proactive relationships with clients
* Assisting with negotiations and appeals
* Staying up to date with relevant legislation and market developments
* Working closely with senior colleagues to develop your expertise and client exposure
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SELECTED?
* Prior experience in business rates
* Ideally 2–4 years’ PQE within property or surveying
* Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
* Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
* Organisational, planning, and problem-solving ability
* A results-driven approach
* London-based or able to commute easily
* A full UK driving licence
