Description

Job title: Production Planning Job Card Engineer (AMOS). Reports to: Engineering Planning Manager. Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG Defence Services) is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in RAF Brize Norton, UK. We work in partnership with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary company of Atlantic Aviation Group.

Job Purpose
Maintain a standard interpretation of task cards reflecting the A400M OMP maintenance requirements. Ensure AMOS Task Cards are compliant with MAA RA’s and AAGDS procedures meeting the needs of critical and complex maintenance. Support all areas of production with knowledge and expertise to establish and maintain job card standards.


Responsibilities

* Become expert in all aircraft AMOS job card creation and related workflows.
* Maintain knowledge of production capabilities and certification requirements.
* Interpret Customer & OEM technical documentation and accurately transfer the information onto AMOS job cards via Template Manager.
* Create, modify, update, and revise all AMOS job cards templates up to latest revisions and in accordance with agreed standards.
* Ensure MAA RA Part 145 compliance in planning and job cards creation.
* Continuously improve the quality of created job cards and standards applied.
* Participate in development and amendments of internal manuals and work procedures, as required.
* Identify CDCCL, AD, Component Changes, CPCP, duplicate inspection and critical tasks.
* Evaluate RAF OMP revision and define required access, work scope highlights, Component Change special / NDT tasks, and Maintenance data.
* Liaise with the quality department for job card template related requirements and support with the issuance for specific Customer Job card Certification.
* Co-operate with the Planning Engineer to improve the maintenance planning processes.
* Provide relevant on-the-job training of job card standards to others (as required).
* Ability to work as part of a team and use current knowledge and future learning to promote continuous improvement.
* Provide positive, collaborative, and effective relationships with all internal and external departments and support the development of service provider relationships to ensure cooperation and open communication with all stakeholders.
* Work efficiently to ensure best practice and continuous improvement of outputs in a complex project environment.
* Ensure compliance with general and technical company procedures.
* Be open to and support internal and external audits, providing solutions to issues and findings as they occur.
* Deputise and support Planning Engineers in their absence or as required with workpack creation in line with Production Planning procedures and work instructions.
* Any other duties as identified by the Engineering Planning Manager related to Job Card Processes.


Essential skills and qualifications

* University Degree / Diploma or relevant experience in a related field.
* Must have served a recognised technical apprenticeship or training.
* Experience of writing or transcribing documents or work instructions would be an advantage.
* Customer focused with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
* Experience with MS Office Applications, expert in Excel.
* AMOS key user level.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight schedules.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
* Energetic, dedicated approach with excellent organisation skills and commitment to deadlines and high work standards.
* Good awareness of aviation safety and good communication skills.
* Aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145 environment.
* At least 3 years in a technical department providing technical support.
* Technical ability (military or civil) that demonstrates understanding of the maintenance production process.
* Experience on AMOS or other integrated aircraft maintenance systems is advantageous.
* Experience with maintenance data and knowledge of aircraft legislation and MAA regulations.
* Knowledge of technical documentation and drawings.


Health and Safety

* Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities including management responsibilities as required by H&S Manual.
* Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work; aviation safety responsibilities per the AAGDS Safety Policy.
* Be aware of aviation security responsibilities per the AAGDS Security Policy.
