We are looking for a dynamic DevOps Engineer for our Dundee hub. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office.
What You'll Do
* Collaborate closely with the operations and engineering teams to streamline and optimize application deployments.
* Design and develop automation and orchestration solutions that enable scalable, efficient infrastructure management.
* Contribute to the delivery of new service offerings, partnering with development teams to ensure the deployment of low-latency, high-performance applications.
* Architect and implement robust failover and disaster recovery strategies to support business continuity.
* Participate in an on-call rotation to provide escalation support and ensure service availability.
What You'll Bring
* Proficiency in scripting and systems-level programming to support automation and tooling initiatives.
* A strong commitment to continuous learning and mastering emerging tools and technologies.
* Solid understanding of containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Kustomize, Jenkins (Groovy), and Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), focusing on secure cloud architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
* A sound understanding of fundamental programming principles and software design patterns.
* Experience in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing relational databases.
