Your Role:
As a Skilled CNC Operator, you'll be responsible for the accurate and efficient production of high-quality components using a variety of CNC machinery. Your work will directly support our manufacturing process and ensure the reliability of our production line.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Fanuc or similar
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
* Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and quality standards
* Conduct routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
* Collaborate with a multi-skilled engineering team to solve problems and improve processes
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop
What You Bring:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
* Proven experience in a hands-on machinist role
* Strong background in CNC milling and turning
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
* Team player with good communication skills
* Comfortable working with various metals and machining techniques
Desirable:
* Experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment
* Programming knowledge of CNC machines
* Engineering degree or additional technical qualifications
* Calm under pressure and highly reliable
* Strong health and safety awareness
