Are you passionate about improving the lives of children and young people? Do you want to work for an employer who places major importance on high‑quality supervision, wellbeing and career development?
Bridgend County Borough Council offers great opportunities to further your social work career. We need Social Workers to assess and support children and families across the county borough.
We are recruiting a Social Worker in our locality hubs. Our Locality Teams are based within four community hubs and are co‑located with Family Support Services. Together they provide a continuum of services ranging from early help to intensive provision for families with complex needs.
We also have teams that specialise in children with disabilities and young people aged 16 and over who are entitled to leaving care services.
Our MASH (Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub) incorporates the requirements of the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and safeguards our most vulnerable children and adults.
In 2023 our Children’s Social Care launched the ‘Signs of Safety’ social work model, which underpins all practice in Bridgend County Borough Children's Services. All new staff receive a suite of training to develop practice in line with this model.
