Health and Safety Officer (closing date: 30/06/25)
£35,235 - £38,626 per year. The Corporate Health, Safety, Emergency Management & Wellbeing Service has a vacancy for a permanent, full time (37hours) Health & Safety Officer. We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated H&S Officer who is keen to assist and support us in the continual promotion of a positive H&S culture within the organisation.
The principal duties will be to ensure the organisation, and its employees comply with the relevant health and safety and fire safety legislation and that its own health and safety policies and practices are adhered to. You will be required to provide competent H&S and Fire Safety advice and guidance, develop/review policies, procedures and risk assessments, undertake a programme of internal audits, inspections and site visits, investigate work related accidents and incidents, provide reports and management recommendations and attend H&S groups and committee meetings.
To successfully fulfil this role a high level of communication, technological and interpersonal skills are essential in addition to extensive H&S experience and knowledge, preferably within multiple areas and working environments. You will be expected to contribute towards the attainment of corporate and service objectives.
