Consultants in Emergency Medicine
Full time or Part time (10 PA, including up to 2 SPA)
Salary Scale – £111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata
Looking for a new and exciting challenge? Then think about working in NHS Forth Valley in the heart of Scotland. The new appointments will join an existing permanent medical staff team of 12 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 3 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 5 Specialty Doctors, providing senior clinical decision‑making and leadership to the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
 * Maintain a high clinical profile with the drive and initiative to achieve and sustain the highest standards of emergency medical care.
 * Participate in the on‑site out‑of‑hours rota as part of normal planned activity.
 * Share with existing Consultants the supervision and shop‑floor training of junior medical and nursing staff.
 * Provide remote consultant support to a nurse‑led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.
 * Opportunity to take part in job‑planned sessions within the new Flow Navigation Hub (FNH) and Urgent Care Centre (UCC) services, in line with broader improvement plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
 * Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
 * Applicants who are not yet in receipt of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) must provide documentary evidence of eligibility, being within 6 months of CCT/CESR at the time of interview.
