Salary / Hourly Rate: £67,430 - £68,470

South Lanarkshire Council Children and Justice Services are recruiting to their Justice Service Fieldwork Manager Team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide strategic direction and operational oversight to the public protection section of our service.

The post holder will have leadership experience and be able to lead on a range of Justice services including, MAPPA, Throughcare, Courts, Whole Systems Approach and Recovery Orientated Justice Services. Justice Services are committed to a learning culture through strong with the assistance of performance management data and as Fieldwork Manager you will require to take forward dedicated aspects of quality assurance and service improvement.

As part of the Justice senior management team you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we are able to deliver the ambitions of the national community justice strategy and vision for justice priorities.

The role requires a background knowledge and understanding of LSCMI risk assessments, MAPPA and statutory social work processes. In addition you will be able to demonstrate an ability to make complex decisions and communicate them to a range of staff and stakeholders whilst upholding social work values.

South Lanarkshire Justice Services require all successful applicants to undertake Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) at a minimum of level 2. This is due to the requirement to access the Violent and Sex Offender Register (ViSOR ) information system.

* Justice Social Work involves a high level of partnership working. Can you describe a situation where you have worked on a multi-agency basis; what your contribution was and what outcomes were achieved?
* Justice Social Work is operating in a complex and uncertain landscape currently. Can you explain what you see the main issues to be effecting our profession and how you would support addressing these in your role?

Screening questions:

* Do you have 5 years post qualifying experience in a statutory social work setting?
* Have you previously held a social work management role?
* SLC require all newly recruited Justice Social Work staff to undertake ViSOR vetting. This allows staff to access the Home Office System that both Police and Social Work record information pertaining the management of registered sex offenders. South Lanarkshire Justice Services are committed to the use of ViSOR and its role in public protection. To use this system you require to be vetted by completing a vetting form that asks details on sensitive personal information. Do you agree to this vetting?

Overseas Criminal Records Check

An Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years.
