Job Title: IT Applications Manager (SAP)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to lead the management, optimisation, and strategic development of our business-critical applications landscape, with a strong focus on SAP systems. This is a key role responsible for ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement across enterprise applications while aligning IT services with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, with a primary focus on SAP (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, ECC, or related modules)
* Lead application support, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
* Manage third-party vendors, service providers, and system integrators
* Drive continuous improvement, system optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives
* Ensure system performance, availability, and security standards are met
* Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes
* Lead and develop a team of application specialists and analysts
* Support project delivery, including implementations, migrations, and integrations
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as an IT Applications Manager, Application Lead, or similar role
* Strong hands‑on experience with SAP systems (e.g. SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, or S/4HANA)
* Solid understanding of application lifecycle management and IT service management (ITIL preferred)
* Experience managing vendors and external partners
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
* Experience with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise architecture is highly desirable
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
* Previous experience in large‑scale transformation or ERP programmes
