Role overview:
Working on JD Outdoors division, you will help spearhead best-in-class Paid Media implementation across Paid Search/Shopping, Paid Social & Digital Display. Your role will be to support the Paid Media Lead and contribute/lead the strategy and account direction, predominantly working with our tier 1 partners such as Google, Bing, Facebook, Instagram as well as emerging platforms and opportunities. You will become well-versed in our unique and proprietary approach to Paid Media, and you will help deliver continual improvement to the accounts.
The primary focus will be working hands on within the accounts across Google and Bing however, you will have the opportunity to work across social platforms (currently outsourced).
You will also manage key stakeholders across the business, as well as integrating with other parts of the Multi-Channel team such as Organic Search, Affiliates & Partnerships, Organic Social and Analytics teams.
Responsibilities:
* Lead best‑in‑class Paid Search and Shopping strategy, ensuring robust campaign planning, activation, and ongoing optimisation aligned to KPIs.
* Produce clear, insight‑driven performance reports with actionable recommendations backed by strong data analysis.
* Monitor daily delivery and apply continuous optimisation across targeting, creative, budgets, and landing pages to maximise efficiency.
* Conduct regular account audits and implement systematic improvements to enhance channel performance and operational excellence.
* Oversee end‑to‑end campaign execution, including setup, tracking, analytics, QA, and accurate forecasting for budgets and scenarios.
* Maintain deep expertise across key platforms, tools, and technologies while staying up to date with industry developments and accreditations.
* Build structured project plans with clear ownership and timelines, ensuring smooth workflow and effective time management.
* Identify trends and proactively recommend strategic and tactical adjustments to drive incremental performance and meet campaign goals.
* Foster strong relationships with partners such as Google, Meta, and Microsoft, unlocking opportunities for optimisation and innovation.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally to support integrated, multi‑channel initiatives and contribute to broader Paid Media process and capability development.
Skills and experience:
* Proactive in identifying issues and delivering effective, solutions‑focused recommendations.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills, able to interpret and communicate complex data clearly.
* Comfortable working under pressure while managing sophisticated, high‑volume Paid Search and Shopping campaigns.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office365, and Google Workspace.
* Effective and confident communicator across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving ability.
* Excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at every stage of workflow.
* Deep knowledge of Paid Search/Shopping implementation, including advanced shopping feed management.
* Hands‑on experience across key Paid Media platforms, including Google Shopping, Meta DPA, and retargeting tactics.
* Skilled in GA4, with the ability to interpret user behaviour and performance insights.
* Strong understanding of the wider Paid Media ecosystem and how channels influence each other (e.g., Paid Search's impact on Paid Social).
Desirable:
* Facebook Blueprint Certified desired.
* Google Ads Certified desired.
* Intelligent Reach experience desired
