Welder: Supporting the Repairs team within our Energy division
This is a great opportunity for a time served and experienced Welder interested in pursuing and continuing their career within an industry leading and quickly growing company
Primary responsibilities
1. Carry out all welding activities on Various types of fuel nozzles, pipes, and fabrication work
2. Carry out Pressure Testing at Various stages on Fuel nozzles after Weld
3. Troubleshooting and problem solving of all welding issues
4. Provide core competence in use of welding equipment
5. Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes
6. Provide technical support to all welding workshop teams
7. Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
8. Plan and coordinate any project work as and when required
9. Participating in any risk assessments / toolbox talks
10. Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date
11. Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department
12. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
Qualifications
13. SVQ level 3 / HNC Welding Certificates preferred.
14. Completed a welding apprenticeship. (With TIG Welding & Orbital Experience)
Experience
15. Demonstrable workshop / Welder experience within a welding workshop environment.
16. Be fully competent working alone on all welding activities.
