Care AssistantHavering £13.50-£14 an hour, plus travel time and 45p per mile
Job description Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
Foster a supportive relationship with clients and their families, ensuring open communication.
Requirements
Previous experience in a caregiving role or nursing home setting is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid principles and practices is advantageous.
Experience in dementia care or working with individuals with cognitive impairments is beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of varying backgrounds.
Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs
